Recycled boat wood table - by bjørkheim

I have made myself a small photo studio in the basement where I will take photos of my furniture collection that just arrived from Bali. First out is a coffee table made of recycled boat wood material. Handmade with unique color combinations which makes the table one of a kind.

My furniture delivery from Bali arrived last week:) So I am spending time unpacking everything now. Very exciting! I will post photos of the furnitures when I am done.

Birkelunden Flea Market

Every sunday there is a big flea market at Birkelunden park on Grünerløkka in Oslo. Here you'll find antique furnitures, ceramics, glassware, vintage clothes, toys and more.  I bought these dining chairs in teak and vinyl there last weekend:

Inspiration - Maldives

I visited the Maldives last year and am dreaming back.. I loved the place! Enjoyed activities such as surfing, diving and snorkeling in addition to days with total relaxation. We stayed at Kandooma- and Cocoa island.

I like the way much of the interior and exterior matches the nature. The reception and restaurant buildings designed like giant coconuts, the floating villas designed like old traditional fishing boats, sun beds in the same color as the sand and natural parasols.

Downdraft ventilation

Downdraft ventilation is a good alternative to a ventilation hood installed over a cooktop. When not in use the entire module disappears completely into the counter. This type of ventilation is ideal for very high ceilings, on a kitchen island or when you are in lack of space.

A ventilation like this would be a good alternative for the kitchen in our new loft apartment since we have very high ceilings. Just need to find out more about the costs...
