DIY - Pimp my chair

I've had a little "pimp my chair" project going on lately. Transforming some old and worn chairs into new and more modernized ones.
I made the seat backs smaller (by saw), the seats higher, took off the fabrics and painted the backs and the seats in black color. The seat height is normally lower on old chairs from the 50s, so that's why I adjusted the seat height.

This is how the chairs looked like before:

DIY - Kee Klamp System

Kee klamp components offer the most flexible solution of pipe construction, safety railing, handrail and can also be used as clothing and book racks. I will visit the supplier here in Norway, Tyco Fire Protection Products, today and buy some components for a shop-interior project I am working on.
An easy and cheap "Do It Yourself" project. Or you can buy finished solutions from Stella Bleu Designs via Etsy

DIY - Recycled pallets

I was told to remove some pallets from the construction place (our new apartment) the other day. I recycled them into some new tables instead.

DIY - Decoupage

This photo collage is from my kitchen.
This is how I made it:

1. Put wallpaper paste on the background/wall.
2. Place photos all over the background.
3. Put two layers of Varnish on top.

I used the same technique on this map. A poster on a MDF plank.

DIY - Graphic slogans

I made these graphic slogans. This is how you do it:

1. Make your text in Adobe Illustrator. Mark the text and make the action "expand" (on the object menu)
2. Make a box.
3. Place the text over the box and mark both the text and the box. Go to the "window" menu, open "pathfinder" and use the"exclude" function.
Now you have a stencil.

4. Place the stencil over a photo and you have made your own piece of graphic art.
