Pink Palace - Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

I visitted this Barbie dream house in Cap Ferrat last week during my stay in Nice.
Villa Ephrussi de Rotchild is the ultimate in Riviera elegant extravagance. Built in the Tuscan style for Baroness Beatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild this pink villa gives an intriguing look into the labour of love of a wealthy, eccentric and travelled woman of the early 20th century. The property is surrounded by nine beautiful gardens, while the villa houses Beatrices' wonderful collection of antiques and artworks from around the world. The collections of furniture, clothing, art, tapestries, rugs and porcelain are beautifully preserved and the setting makes it easy to escape into imagination.
The mansion it a perfect place for weddings, filming and photoshoots.

Inspiration - Nice

I just spent some days in Nice, on the french riviera. I love this city since it has a little bit of everything.
From the Mediterranean Sea to the Alps. From the most fancy shops and restaurants to the small, intimate and cosy ones. I especially like the old town with its narrow streets, pastel colored houses and washing hanging out of windows.

Some interior shops I like in Nice:

Bao Bab, 10 rue du marché.
Has a nice collection of decorations and furnitures made of recycled materials.

A small romantic boutique selling scents and decoration for the bathroom.

Millefleurs, Old Nice
A very charming boutique selling craft items from Provence.

Flamant, 18 rue de la liberté
Flamant's collections offer a multitude of styles; from classic, country and Gustavian to modern vintage and contemporary urban design.


Every monday there is a big flea and antiques market on the Cours Selaya in the old part of the town.

Kelim Love

I bought some kelim pillows at a local market in Istanbul last year and have been looking for more of them since. I recently found some nice ones at Bolia (photo nr 2). Made of antique kelim rugs from Turkey. Now I want more.. kelim rugs, a kelim bag and maybe a chair? Kelim love..
